Getting your NSW boat licence is simple. Complete the course and official test with us, complete your practical boating experience, then take your paperwork to Service NSW to get your licence.

1 – Attend our course
Book a course at a time and location that suits you. We’ll send you study material beforehand, then your trainer will take you through the course and official knowledge test.
2
2 – Complete logbook (BL only)
Complete three supervised trips with an experienced licence holder and record them in your NSW Boat Driving Licence Practical Logbook.
3
3 – Get your licence
Once you’ve completed the course and your logbook, take the required paperwork and identification to Service NSW to apply for your NSW boat licence.
