Proof Of Identity (POI) is a requirement for the course. You cannot complete the course without showing the Trainer sufficient POI at the course.
We recommend the following POI:
- For adults (ages 16 & up), a valid NSW photo drivers licence
- For juniors (ages 12 to up to 16 years), an Australian birth certificate and parent (with ID)
Documents presented as POI must show the applicant’s signature and current residential address. Identification documents must be original documents or certified copies.
Young adults (12 to up to 16 years) doing the course will also need their mum or dad (with supporting identification i.e., drivers licence) to sign them in at commencement.
As an example, John brings a current Australian passport and a Medicare card. This will be rejected as nothing has his current residential address. He brought a Work Safe card, which includes his address, but this is not on the list of acceptable POI, so it was rejected.
If you’re still unsure, download the POI brochure for a full rundown of what POI we can take on the day.
